GPX 600R Fairing
Hi guys,
Need a little help here....
Yesterday I found out that my right side fairing broke. It's the part where the side fairing and the bellypan are connected (The place where the you screw them together). Right now the bellypan is hold only by the joins on the left side.
Anyone knows where I can either get it fixed or perhaps buy new/used fairings? I've searched on eBay and they have a lot of new and used ones in UK but most of them will not ship to Asia and the ones that do ship to here are charging so much. Especially after converting Pounds to Ringgit.
Btw, recently I got my seat cover changed when I was in Butterworth for my friend's "kenduri". Cost me only RM55 and they did a fantastic job.

Hi bro..
Can give the photo of your fairing. Can't imagine it. My FZR1k's fairing also broken at the joint between side and head fairing. One screw hole broken. I just tied it using cable. No problem at all.

Hi Faizul,
I was thinking of using cable as well as a temporary solution or just take out out the whole damn bottom part. All 3 of my screw holes are broken on the right side.
I'll try and snap some pics of the fairing in the morning and post it here.

Re: GPX 600R Fairing
hello bro ...
reffering to yr pic, here i hv few suggestion perhaps will solve yr prob.
01) buy new fairing... its quite costly but defenitely will look perfect...
02) drill new hole next to original hole but its impossible since
yr fairing broken at joining part and no place fr new hole..
03) get steel bar/plate... drill a holes wz size / position / curve exactly like
old one... then attch the plate by screw / rivet to the fairing
frm backward.

good luck..

Re: GPX 600R Fairing
Thanks a lot Husin for the explanation and especially for taking the time to illustrate it on the pic.
Unfortunately I don't have the necessary tool to drill plates and the thought of cracking the fairing really scares me. If the top fairing crack, I might have to turn this bike into a "streetfighter".
You know any workshop that can do this?

Re: GPX 600R Fairing
hi there...
I think you could contact my friend...
he did a lot of "fibre" thing like creating new fairing for my zzr group...
this might be a small thing for him as it need just re-fibre the affected area..
as long as the "structure" is still intact, then it shouldn't be any problem...
By the way, he stays at jln kebun, klang...

Will try jimf suggestion first. If all else fail, will definitely go to your foreman.

Re: GPX 600R Fairing
Got it done at Sunny Cycle. New paint job, swingarm, gasket and more. Thank you all for the help and recommendation. Planning on selling it after it's done in couple days. Upgrading to a bigger bike.

Color Hitam/ Putih ni memang mengancam.... Nampak kemas & bersih. Tapi macamana nak padankan dengan part plastik yg nampak lusuh? Nak di cat nampak kilat sangat?

Hi guys, it's been a long time since my last login. After the new paint job, new valve etc, my beautiful shiny black bike was stolen after only 5 days Recently I just bought another one, a Honda CBR 1000F (1990). Back to riding again!

GPX600R stolen?? sorry to hear that bro. . I thought, only rabbit/R1/ZX10 will be the target. now, old bike must be locked properly. or put inside our room.
CBR1000F also very nice, hope to see your new horse..
